The governing board of Achimota Senior High School has expressed worry about media reports on the death of Master Kevin Kofi Moses, a Form One student.
News carried by 3news.com suggested that Master Moses died due to the negligence of a Housemaster and staff at Achimota Hospital.
The deceased’s mother, consequently, demanded closure of the School.

But in a swift reaction, the board says it takes the reports “seriously and has accordingly set up a committee to investigate the entire affair not only in a bid to verify the circumstances surrounding the current situation, but to improve health delivery response protocols for our students and house staff in general”.
A statement issued by Chairman of the board, Osei Kwame Agyeman, on Thursday, December 15 assured that findings of the committee will be shared with the public.
Any actions that result from the work of the committee will also be made public, it added.
“We extend the sincerest of condolences to the parents and family of Master Kevin Moses.
“We are devastated by the loss of Kevin.
“His intelligence and pleasant personality described by those privileged to have known him will never be forgotten.”
