It was all fun and excitement when the 2014 winner of Ghana’s most beautiful who is also a child marriage ambassador, Abigail Baciara Bentie, celebrated her birthday with head porters, popularly referred to as Kayayes, at Tudu in Accra.
Her decision to celebrate her special day with the vulnerable head porters formed part of her campaign against early child marriage in Ghana.
For them, it was an early christmas party as they had the privilege to wine and dine with the beauty queen who they have only seen on their television screens
Baci who owns a charity foundation, Malol-lol Foundation Ghana, distributed 200 packs of food prepared from Mma Zara Restaurant as well as cake, assorted drinks and non alcoholic champagne drinks to the Kayayes who joined her for the memorable celebration.
Back explained she chose the kayayes because she wants to inspire them since she believes about 99 per cent of them are victims of teenage pregnancy and early child marriage.
She, however, urged them to make education a priority for their children and try to get education for themselves.
