74 We have been rescued from our enemies so we can serve God without fear, 75 in holiness and righteousness for as long as we live. Amen (Quoted from (Luke 1: 74-75 NLT. When I received this in the morning I decided to share it with the team working as disciples of Jesus Christ.
The promises of God are forever true. His handiwork stands throughout the ages. Indeed, nothing in all creation can be compared to His greatness and power.
One of His excellent handiworks is our rescue from the hands of the enemy. How His mighty power reaches out to deliver us everyday from evil, is still very remarkable in our lives.
So what then do we do? What is the reason for our salvation and deliverance? The answer is simple; we are delivered “so we can serve God without fear, in holiness and righteousness for as long as we live.” Seeking Him ceaselessly with prayers and becoming the Disciples of Jesus Christ.
Beloved, this is the other side of the coin. Our commitment, love, devotion and decision to serve God in holiness is what makes the rescue mission complete. So that He can finish the work He has started in us. We need to acknowlege that this is not up to us but living beside ourselves makes it easier ( as the clay in the Hands of the Porter) for the author and finisher of our faith ( making us as those full of grace).
Honestly, we cannot claim to have been delivered by God unless our lives, after that rescue mission, glorify Him. If not, then what else will be the evidence of our salvation; that we were delivered from the enemy, back into darkness? Certainly Not! Even in our failures and difficulties let us strive without looking back.
1 Peter 2: 9 says we are delivered to proclaim the praises of Him who called us out of darkness into His wonderful light. So tell all who have been delivered from the parlour of the devil, especially those with a decision to walk with the Lord the rest of their lives, that it is time to STAND FOR HOLINESS! Because we are righteous through the work of Jesus Christ pick yourself up and continue the journey with Him.
Encourage them to understand that our righteousness is not of our own. The Holy Spirit leads us in the path of righteousness for His own name’s sake. He gives strength in our weaknesses, falls, and the desire to be more like Christ. He will live His righteousness through us if we let Him in. Live knowing that there’s a judgement day ahead of us.
We are children of the Light. We have a duty to shine before men, so they see our good deeds through the Holy Spirit instead of us and care for His mission or vision which will glorify our Father in heaven. Meditate on this and begin to pray now. Pray oh vulnerable one that despite it all His grace will see you through. Acknowledge your misdemeanours and repent.
