Speaking at the University of Professional Studies (UPSA) in Accra a couple of weeks ago, President Mahama is reported to have said that his economic achievements for Ghana are “remarkable”.
Yes, they are “remarkable”!
They are certainly a “remarkable” economic loot!
They are surely a “remarkable” economic loss championed by Mr. Mahama when Ghana lost more than $6 billion in oil revenues over the last 5 years, while Mr. Mahama sat at the Flagstaff House.
Sadly, during the same weekend, we also read the part where Ghana’s Emergency Management agency, NADMO, turned to UN as a single rain event killed one and displace thousands.
Sadly, we also heard, during the same period, “Two die as Tamale Teaching Hospital runs out of oxygen”.
Easily, Ghana’s developmental and social needs in the billions of dollars. All that, obviously compounded by mismanagement and theft by politicians in Accra.
And there is the matter of collusion with the foreign oil companies and “development partners”.
So, Mr. Mahama, those are “remarkable” sums of money in oil revenues that have gone into the pockets of the Oil companies, KOSMOS and Tullow, in particular. Those are funds not available to finance the NADMO-type development, social, and safety projects.
And all of that are happening under your watch, Mr. Mahama
And you want Ghana to know you have in your infinite wisdom signed that predatory oil racket of a bill called the Ghana Hybrid System?
Don’t bother!
Send the bill back to Speaker Adjahoe!
Show Ghana you are a lot wiser, Mr. Mahama!
Do not sign that fraudulent oil bill, Mr. Mahama!
SUBJ: Tell us Mahama didn’t lose $6 billion of Ghana’s oil money and still signed the oil racket bill!
