I don’t talk idly. Analysing facts, I draw logical conclusions. Some would have impugned without justification; but my 2016 election rigging fears have just been confirmed. Yesterday, I read the Ahoɔfɛ Patri (social media bestowed for derogatorily talking human form shortness) say that some group would rig the elections. It’s fear and panic. Indeed, his congress has the devious record of motherland election rigging!
Congress, to which he belongs, is the only group with the strings, links and connections to, and in an Electoral Commission. Go and conduct a census of the people in that outfit using a questionnaire with items on dates people were employed. Answers would virtually fall within December 31, 1981 to January 6, 2001 and January 7 2009 brackets.
When that is done, ask who contracted STL for a commission and for what purpose (s). Uncle Sege had managed to convince us compatriots, including the youth that had massed up at its premises, that nothing untoward about election rigging was going on. Three years and over on, the interior people accidentally contradicted Uncle Sege that, indeed, the organisation was contracted to transmit election results.
The census will reveal an almost all congress material. So if you have congress everywhere in an Electoral Commission, there is no way one or two ɔsono elements would steal on the blind side of congress everywhere.
If ɔsono were to be in charge of stl, maybe that would be an opportunity. But even that will not work because congress goes into an election with its version of results which must prevail.
Congress went to court in 2004 because the figures they had set before the election, their cooked preferred results, were not matched by the declared results.
So even with ɔsono in control of stl, congress will still insist its pre-set results MUST be the declared results.
So it all boils down to vigilance, the vigilance an electoral commissioner who sat by (I cannot vouch he sat in) to be botched, and Mr Boom boomed. I bet they all knew the congress stealing ways but wouldn’t dare make it public.
Mark the words of social media Ahoɔfɛ Patri talking election rigging for, he is no mean person. The steps in the election process are many and varied.
Yet congress sees opportunity in each to rig. Flawing the voters’ register, extra thumb-printed ballot papers, spoiling the ballot paper, trick counting, unauthorised polling stations with their pink sheets of results, forging results on pink sheets, transposing figures, and manipulating collated totals all topped up with software fidgeting manoeuvres bear congress’ rigging signatures.
So, compatriots, gird your loins and fight to cease the governance of incompetence which has ranked the motherland seventh, for which the incompetent are applauding.
The motherland should be first with the second far, far distant.
Stop the incompetence in its tracks, otherwise your everything gold, cocoa and oil, stands squandered before ceasing in supply.
Sometime ago, EC was going to recruit professors and dons. I was all enthusiastic that I have a role to prevent election thieving by congress. However, I have observed, of late, I sleep by heart. So my sleeping on the job as returning officer would have simply provided congress with the thieving opportunity.
Vigilance begins with ensuring there is only one register for both parliamentary and presidential voter lists.
The register itself is most likely to be unclean but at least the one register one election worsens its rigging effects. Make sure it’s one voter, one ballot paper and one ballot paper cast. Never take your eyes off voting; and never take them off counting.
Make sure a ballot paper is not spoiled before being handed over to a known ɔsono voter and no cast ballot paper gets deliberately spoiled by the counter.
Check and confirm total number of ballot papers in the box after voting tallies with the total number issued.
Convince yourself totals of counted ballots at the polling station are accurate, properly signed and prominently displayed at the polling station. Follow the counting to ensure the counter does not jump over or step back in the sequence. During collation, ‘eyes-open’ widely to anything with ‘teen’ suffix is not written without the ‘teen.’
No wonder he who knows and has suffered its consequences has pronounced the congress duo ‘owners of rigging copyright.’ If you want to rig, you need their permission. But why would they give you permission to rig when they need rigging as never before? Congress will rig unless my compatriots of all political persuasions, ethnic groupings, income levels and irrespective of their levels of schooling or social status unite to throw them out. Twaso they must be made to do. Congress motherland victimising incompetent governance must stop.
