“Today, …. in the matter of the fully documented loss by Ghana of more than $6 billion in oil revenues over the last 5 years, and in the face of the fraudulent Ghana Hybrid System being perpetrated on the Ghana Commonwealth, here are “Seven (7) Essential…Questions” for Mr. Mahama, Deputy Dagadu, Speaker of Parliament Doe Adjaho, and Damongo MP Adam “Not True Figures…True Cost” Mutawakilu, as Mr. Mahama sits on, and ponders about, the Petroleum Exploration and Production Bill…”(Prof Lungu, 6 August, 2016).
Speaking at the University of Professional Studies (UPSA) in Accra last weekend, President Mahama is reported to have boasted to the high heavens that his economic achievements for Ghana are “remarkable”.
Yes, President Mahama “economic achievements” for Ghana are “remarkable”!
They are certainly a “remarkable” economic loot!
They are surely a “remarkable” economic loss championed by Mr. Mahama (and Speaker Doe Adjaho) when Ghana lost more than $6 billion in oil revenues over the last 5 years, while Mr. Mahama was at the Flagstaff House, in Accra.
Sadly, during the same weekend, we are also reading the part where Ghana’s Emergency Management agency, NADMO, reportedly “turns to UN as floods…kill one, displace thousands”.
Sadly, during the same weekend, we are also hearing, “Two die as Tamale Teaching Hospital runs out of oxygen”.
Now, we understand that Mr. Mahama is sitting on an Oil bill that will cheat Ghana some more.
So, Mr. Mahama, those are “remarkable” sums of money in oil revenues that have gone into the pockets of the Oil companies, KOSMOS and Tullow, in particular, the last 5 years.
Those are funds that are not available to finance the NADMO project for safety and survival.
And all of that are happening under “Remarkable Mr. Mahama”.
So, in the matter of the fully documented loss by Ghana of more than $6 billion in oil revenues over the last 5 years, and in the face of the fraudulent Ghana Hybrid System being perpetrated on the Ghana Commonwealth, here are “Seven (7) Essential…Questions” for Mr. Mahama, Deputy Dagadu, Speaker of Parliament Doe Adjaho, and Damongo MP Adam “Not True Figures…True Cost” Mutawakilu, as Mr. Mahama sits on, and ponders about, the Petroleum Exploration and Production Bill:
1. How many barrels of oil were lifted during the last 5 years by KOSMOS and Tullow?
2. How many barrels of the oil lifted were Ghana’s share (i.e., Ghana, as the sovereign owner of the oil resource)?
3. How many barrels of the oil lifted were kept by the oil companies (i.e., by KOSMOS and Tullow)?
4. How much in oil revenues (cash) was paid to Ghana, and how much cash did KOSMOS and Tullow “take home”, for the oil lifted over the last 5 years?
5. What was the total development and production expenditure for all Jubilee oil the last five years and what is the actual split by percentage between Ghana/GNPC and KOSMOS/Tullow?
6. Why is Ghana/GNPC incurring oil development and production cost(s) when those costs are not necessary expenses for the Sovereign State under the world Standard PSA?
7. Is it Fair-Trade Oil Share for Ghana when UK interests representing KOSMOS and Tullow use $29 million to keep $6 billion in extra Ghana’s oil revenues?
Show them right now!
Prove to ‘dem’!
Don’t sign the 2016 Petroleum and Exploration Bill with strong PSA provisions!
So it goes, Ghana!
