Everyone wants to emerge truly successful in life — I do; don’t you? To some folks, they believe success has nothing to do with God. And to other people, they believe success has everything to do with God. That is why I ask, “Success and God: Are They Synchronous or Asynchronous?” Alright, I honestly assert that God is success, and success proceeds from God’s unsearchable wisdom. Thus success and God are synchronous and not asynchronous. This is not really a doctrine; it is actually an ubiquitous truth. It is a sacred philosophy which emanates from God’s original plan. Atheists, agnostics and freethinkers will dispute the basis of this article. Well, the subject of success is inherently divine — believe it or not. Interestingly, atheists, agnostics and freethinkers can become really successful, because success is only achieved through the right application of its universal laws.
Okay, what then is the true meaning of success? Success has a myriad definitions, but success has an all-embracing definition which validates the truth, “Success and God are synchronous.” Success, therefore, is accomplishing your God-given purpose in life as an individual. Besides, wealth is just an end result or a by-product of success. So there are many wealthy people who are not really successful unless they are accomplishing their divinely inspired purpose, knowingly or unknowingly. In today’s world, billionaires are often classified as the most successful folks on earth. In fact, a large chunk of them never truly discovered and fulfilled their true God-given purpose in life; they merely made a huge fortune in business. I however posit that Mark Zuckerberg is largely — though yet to be completely — successful because he is incredibly accomplishing his inalienable purpose, which is, giving people the power to make the world more open and connected electronically through Facebook, and he is now a billionaire out of his substantially executed purpose.
Moreover, let us delve into the overriding significance of God in success. You do not necessarily have to be a Christian to become successful in life. Yes, the God-factor plays an extremely important role in the attainment of success, but it has very little to do with religiosity, especially in Christianity. Praying, Bible reading and church attendance do not literally help make one successful in life. It goes beyond that when we talk of the God-factor in the pursuit of success. No wonder most Christians are not and do not emerge successful in life though they are religious to the bone. They are ignorant of the supreme philosophy of success which is actually a spiritual, divine or supernatural thing. Success is actually governed by a set of laws which are also divine attributes, namely purpose, excellence, passion, creativity, honesty, commitment, and the like. When anyone faithfully applies them, he or she unleashes supernatural forces that perfectly lubricate his or her path to success, causing him or her to become a success eventually.
Also, no man can claim to be successful on his own without God. Whether you acknowledge it or not, you can only achieve success in life through an empowerment, ability or power from God. Deuteronomy 8:17-18 says, “Then you say in your heart, ‘My power and the might of my hand have gained me this wealth [or say “success” in this context]. And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth [or say “success” in this context], that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers as it is this day.” Therefore, it is better for us to appreciate God’s interference in our desire for success since success originated from God and it is free for all, even atheists, and not the preserve of Christians or non-atheists at large.
