Ghana’s politics has gotten to the stage where the learned have stooped low to metamorphose common sense into stupidity and lies.
I find it very difficult to understand the kind of messages politicians sell to the electorates doing political seasons.
Some of the messages do not meet common sense and the illiterates are the most insulted in this regard.
In a country where poverty has befriended many people, politicians do not have any message of hope to give to hopeless than to trade lies and enhanced propaganda to win the votes of ordinary people.
A country where businesses are suffering and interest rate beyond threshold, needs messages of hope and restoration.
The campaign has begun and Akuffo Addo has become the target of so called ‘God fearing’ politicians. In 2012, Akuffo Addo was branded as war brewer and capable of setting the country ablaze. It’s interesting a man who doesn’t have any record of crime and mayhem could be labelled like that. For political expediency, NDC use it as their campaign message of hope and dashed the hopes of Akuffo Addo and metted out hardships to Ghanaians.
After their abysmal performance for the past four years, they see no reason for remorse and instead of them going round the country to apologize, they are busily going round branding Akuffo Addo as divisive.
This is a complete sham and incongruous.
President Mahama see no wrong with such messages and busily campaigning on the ticket of Akuffo Addo is divisive instead of reflecting on his abysmal performance after death install him as president of this country and dark luck befell on him to ascend to the presidency.
I will entreat all meaningful Ghanaian to treat kind of messages as deceptive and does not reflect any hope for hopeless Ghana.
I think by now the President should be going round telling Ghanaians what he will do differently from what he is being over the years to bring the economic freedom we all need.
Akuffo Addo has been a state man and he is respected by many. He might have his shortfalls but the grandpapa cannot be divisive as it is being suggested by desperate President who is desperate to win power using someone’s uncertain and unfounded weaknesses instead of his own strength.
I believe the people of Ghana are discerning enough to choose a leader they think can properly champion their interest and aspirations having experience Mahama administration under serious duress in all sectors of the economy. Ghana needs a leader and 2016 election will give Ghana a leader.
