In every dark or bright hour of our national life, a leadership of forthrightness and integrity is required to ensure our collective progress. 2016 elections is just at the corner and I entreat you to vote as your moral conscience dictates to you. This year’s elections is not about NDCism and NPPism. It is about the continuous existence of this country, which has been dragged to its lowest ebb by partisan politics and greed.
I could see many Ghanaians torn between the junction of old and young, the junction of continuity and change. Our choices should not be stimulated by our emotions and affiliations but from our senses and the demonstration of our love for God and country.
Don’t be an Essau by selling the destiny of Ghana to a politician. Don’t be a Judas by betraying your conscience to ethnic and partisan politics. The hardships and sufferings or the joy and happiness that our beloved country would be subjected to, lies in our thumbs. We are not in the iron-age where strength rules. We are in the mental age where everyone can be his own master. Be the master of your mind as you go to the polls on Wednesday.
Let’s bury our fraternal contentions, let’s say ‘no’ to violence and march together with a victory song irrespective of our political affiliations. I believe in the youth of Ghana, we are capable of doing anything and we are capable of doing nothing. The choice is in our hands now. Let’s choose wisely. God bless our Motherland. Thank you
