I am looking for the opportunity to meet the president and question him why he made that statement
President Akuffo-Addo delivering his maiden State of the Nation Address on Tuesday February 21, 2017 described himself as a man who was in a great hurry to develop the country.
He said he got to work immediately after his inauguration by quickly putting his team that would help him govern because there is no time to waste.
“I have heard it said that I am behaving like a man in a hurry, Mr Speaker I am indeed in a hurry. The times in which we live demands that we all be in a hurry to deal with the problems we face,’’ Nana Addo said.
However, two months after making that comment, General Overseer of the Glorious Waves Church, Prophet Badu Kobi has faulted the president for making such a comment.
Speaking to Uncle Nat on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, the renowned prophet said “I was highly disappointed in the president for making such a statement.
“You are in a hurry going where? God who created the universe and everything in it, is not in a hurry so why should you an ordinary being say you are in a hurry? God created the universe in six days and rested on the seventh day so why should you say you are in hurry?. The day he made that statement, I said, these people will destroy this country.’’
He added, “I am looking for the opportunity to meet the president and question him why he made that statement. I will ask why he is in a hurry and for what. He needs to lay the foundation and take his time. You can’t say you are in a hurry because God is the one who directs our steps and so if you are in a hurry, you will commit blunders.’’
Prophet Kobi stressed that, some men of God have failed to chide the president for making that comment and has indicated that Nana Addo should allow God to guide his steps so he can succeed.
