Officials of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) have hinted of a press conference today Wednesday, June 7, 2017 to expose the massive corrupt deals that took place in the erstwhile National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration.
“The Agency will be addressing issues regarding salaries of employees by the previous government and issues on massive corruption which also happened previously” Public Relations Officer (PRO) YEA, Awal Mohammed hinted.
“We are revealing damming reports about officials who engaged themselves in illegalities”, he added.
According to him, the press conference is necessary because Ghanaians have to know every information in the public sector institutions to distinguish good governance from bad.
“The information is worth knowing to Ghanaians and after the press conference today you will even call for their possible prosecution”, he emphasized
Speaking on Otec FM, a local radio station in Kumasi, the PRO revealed the after monitoring and evaluation; they have identified staff who are redundant but still sitting in offices without portfolios and receiving salaries.
He claims these redundant employees were part of the last minute appointments before the previous government left office suspecting they are sympathizers of NDC pushed in because of partisan politics.
The PRO also laughed off media reports that it has cut down salary of graduate employees from GH¢1500 to GH¢570 promising to throw more light on accounts of everything during the press conference.
