The lyrical war between rapper Yaa Pono and Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale is far from over.
On Republic Day, July 1, Pono performed the diss song ‘Gbee Naabu‘ he released during the heat of the ‘misunderstanding’ between himself and Wale at the Y FM Area Codes Jam held in Kumasi.
He also performed a freestyle during his set dissing Shatta Michy.
It is believed the ‘friction’ between the two artistes is as a result of the inability of Yaa Pono to perform at a concert in Cape Coast in March 2017 where he and Shatta Wale were scheduled to perform.
Pono released a song titled Noko where he boasted about how no one can attack or do anything to him.
Wale reacted with the song ‘Say Fi‘ where he questions the gender of the rapper and also use lots of unprintable words including suggesting he (Yaa Pono) was born as a result of rape.
Pono released a second song ‘Gbee Naabu’ which saw him tear into Wale, literally.
