Kwesi Appiah arrived in Ghana April 21, 2017 after his appointment by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to replace Avram Grant as the new Black Stars Coach.
His reappointment follows the departure of Israeli coach, Avram Grant due to the expiration of his contract.
He has been handed a two-year deal to lead the Stars as their new boss starting from May 1, 2017.
Mr. Appiah, who led the Black Stars from 2012 to 2014 left the team over problems they encountered during the World Cup in Brazil and rows over payment of bonuses.
Following his “poor” performance, most Ghanaians have lost confidence in him and have asked for termination of the contract and has since been coaching Sudanese side Al Khartoum.
The 56-year-old Kwesi Appiah has promised to do the best that he can, and called for the help and support of Ghanaians and the Black Stars players in order to bring back life into the team.
Meanwhile, some Ghanaians who have been speaking to www.ghanaweb.com have outlined their expectations from the Coach.
While some want him to put in place better structures that will enable the team function well, some want him to give the opportunity to new players who are equally good to replace the old and tired ones.
He must also work with people he trusts to help him succeed.
