Customers of Universal Merchant Bank (UMB) have been promised speed and quality banking in coming days as the bank commemorates its 45th anniversary.
Formerly known as Merchant Bank, UMB was established on 15th March 1972: one of the earliest established banks in the country.
The bank is committed to supporting SMEs, socio economic development and rendering relevant services in the banking space in Ghana.
Speaking at the launch of the 45th anniversary, CEO of UMB, John Awuah says customer satisfaction through the employment of innovation will be topmost on their priority list.
“Satisfaction of our customers will always be topmost on our priority. We are moving to a place where our customers can sit in the comfort of their bedrooms and do all their banking transactions without coming to the banking hall”, he highlighted.
He added that “The next phase of banking is not in brick and mortar, but innovation and speed technology, and that’s exactly what UMB is specialized in”.
He assures security and protection of customer’s data and investments will not be compromised.
“We have been around for 45 years and we have not has any issues with our security system, we go through the rigors of all of products deployment and we will continue to meet all the security requirements to give our customers the trust and convenience in doing business with us”.
The event also saw the unveiling of the 45th anniversary logo of the company.
The anniversary which will be climaxed at the end of the year will be characterized by activities including financial lectures, launching of new products, corporate social projects, and an awards and dinner ceremony to reward faithful customers and hardworking staff.
