The suspects stole the animal and handed it over to another for slaughter
Two police officers only identified as Sani and Michael also known as “Micky” are set to face disciplinary action by the police administration for stealing a goat belonging to Chief Inspector Alhaji Abubakar Saliki a former station commander at the Assin Breku police station.
The suspects were reported to have stolen the animal and handed it over to one Aditalma Benjamin to slaughter and prepare for cooking.
Children of the Chief Inspector, who were searching for animal after they detected it has gone missing from the pen, were hinted one Aditalma Benjamin was spotted by residents preparing it.
Upon his arrest and interrogation, he mentioned Sani and Michael as those who assigned him to prepare it and gave him his share as promised afterwards.
The rest of the meat was shared between the police officers who hurriedly took it to their wives and ordered them to use all for supper.
One of the wives of the police officers after receiving the meat also gave some to her friend as according to her the meat was more than enough for their consumption which eventually gave up the suspects.
It was finally uncovered that the two cops played various roles in the disappearance of the goat leading to a report being lodged with their superiors who promised to thoroughly investigate the matter.
Assin Fosu divisional police commander, Chief Supt. Henry Bacho reiterated said the two officers will be facing disciplinary action since the case has been forwarded to the Central regional commander.
