The Northern Electricity Distribution Company (NEDCO) has attributed the interruptions in power supply to cuts in some high tension lines.
In a press release dated February 9, 2018, NEDCO said the cut affected power supply, giving an assurance that the situation would be resolved in due time.
“There has been a High Tension line cut on Feeder 9 this evening causing outages in several areas including; Russian Bungalows, Regional Administration, Gbewaa Residential, and parts of Vitti,” NEDCO stated in the release.
Residents of Tamale in the Northern Region have been experiencing interruptions with power supply for close to two weeks.
The Tamale Business District, Choggu Yapalsi, Russian Bungalows, Regional Administration, Gbewaa Residential, and parts of Vittin are most affected by the intermittent supply of power in the metropolis.
Although NEDCO stated in the release issued that repair works will be carried out on Friday, February 09, 2018, there is still no power supply in the metropolis.
Despite NEDCO’s numerous assurances to ensure that power is restored, the situation still persists and residents are still struggling to get stable power.
