President Akufo-Addo has appointed former National First Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Stephen Ayensu Ntim, as the Chairman of the Ghana Lands Commission governing board.
His appointment was in consultation with the Council of State pursuant to Section 5 of the Lands Commission of 1994, Act 483. A letter signed by the Chief of Staff Akosua Frema Osei-Opare and dated July 18 requested Mr Ntim to indicate his acceptance or otherwise of the appointment.
Mr Ntim is a systems engineer by profession and holds a Master’s Degree from the University of Minnesota.
He has made two unsuccessful attempts at becoming the National Chairman of the NPP in December 2005 and February 2010. He was the first National Vice Chairman from 2001 to 2005, and has been tipped by some party members to become the next chairman of the party.
