Ace sports presenter Christopher Opoku has passed away, www.3news.com has learnt.
Christopher Opoku died on Wednesday, May 10 after a long battle with cancer of the rectum for which he underwent a medical operation on September 24, 2012.
He has been steadily recuperating, having been active on social media over his passion of football.
His last tweet was barely a fortnight ago:

Until his death, Christopher Opoku worked for Accra-based Citi FM, Business & Financial Times and was the Managing Editor of Footy-Ghana.com.
He was the face of Metro TV Sports between 2009 and 2012. He also worked for GTV Sports+ and Happy Sports. He was also a sports panellist on Multi TV. Before then, he had worked in Kumasi for Luv FM.
Christopher Opoku was survived by a wife, Vivian, and three children.
