Dance hall musician, Shatta Wale has responded to rapper Prodigal’s declaration that VVIP will never perform on the same stage with him.
Speaking in an interview on Daybreak Hitz, Shatta Wale gave VVIP a go ahead to organise their own shows, saying that he has a massive following that is enough to make up his own shows.
“We have that power… I can choose to do any kind of show I want to do and I will still get my loyal Shatta movement fans, not music lovers so they can gang up,” Shatta Wale bragged.

Shatta Wale reportedly rained insults on VVIP and Tic Tac at the S Concert held on Saturday at the Accra Sports Stadium. As if that was not enough, the self-acclaimed Dance Hall King also took to Facebook to further denigrate the group in a live video, urging Ghanaians not to waste their time in supporting them and Tic Tac because they are the cause of Ghana’s dying music industry.

Reacting to Shatta Wale’s action, Prodigal a member of VVIP in an interview with Hitz FM’s Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz, said that Shatta Wale’s recent attitudes and utterances have become very disrespectful and disturbing. According to him, unless the ‘Kakai’ hit-maker drops his unruly behavior towards his fellow musicians, they will no longer share the same stage with him, no matter the amount of money involved.
Prodigal also bemoaned the artist’s controversial lifestyle, citing his ruthless action of slapping his bodyguard while performing on the S-Concert stage, as well as his recent social media war with some Nigerian artistes. Recall that Shatta Wale took his beef with Nigerian musicians to the extreme when he posted a video of him firing a pistol while calling out the likes of Wizkid, Timaya and Patoranking.
However, the ‘Ayoo’ singer who appears to be reveling in the entire negative publicity, has said he is just creating stories for haters and bloggers.
