Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has revealed who he referred to as ‘Sergeant Lee’ in his hit song ‘taking over’.
Speaking on Okay FM, Wednesday, the ‘taking over’ hit maker said “I will officially outdoor Stonebwoy as ‘Sergeant Lee’ soon, since most Ghanaians refer to him as Sergeant Lee.”
“I was composing my “Taking Over” song and I just used the instance when Stonebwoy posted on twitter that he’s in a comfortable lead in the MTV base voting on who is the real dancehall king, so I decided to polish it,” Shatta stated.
BET Award winner Stonebwoy has reacted to Shatta Wale’s Sergeant Lee lyrics in the smash hit single Taking Over.
The multiple hit factory in his latest radio interview reacted;
“When you don’t know me personal and you try to make it seem you do then we will have to let you expatiate. Its lyrical. The sergeant Lee lyric, if it means something positive then ‘I take am’ but if it doesn’t then I would like to know what they are talking about. I have done a lot and so may be that’s how the person want to praise me. I have also seen tweets where people call others Corporal Nii,” he added.
