Ghana Premier League (GPL) club, Fearsome Elmina Sharks, will face-off with the Black Stars Team ‘B’ to help the team maintain their momentum while they wait for the resumption of the league which has been suspended by the Premier League Board for a month.
The Fearsome Sharks accepted the challenge to play the local select side led by Assistant Black Stars coach, Maxwell Konadu, at the Nduom Sports Stadium on Sunday to help in keeping the national side in shape ahead of their 2018 CHAN qualifier against Burkina Faso on August 11, 2017 in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, before the return leg game which will be played on August 18, 2017.
The Black Stars Team B have dispatched countries like The Gambia and Togo in their preparatory games ahead of the qualifiers and will relish an opportunity with a resurgent Elmina Sharks side coached by former Black Stars player, Yaw Acheampong.
The Black Stars Team B will be hoping to qualify for next year’s CHAN tournament slated for Kenya in January while Elmina Sharks will resume the league with an away match against Berekum Chelsea.
