Sellas Tetth, former head coach of the national U-20 male football team, the Black Satellites, has signed a one year deal with Tamale City Football Club.
Tetteh, who led the national U-20 team to conquer African and the rest of the World at the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) World Cup in Egypt 2009, would be entitled a renewal after the one year deal expires.
In a press the release copied to the GNA Sports, it said, the management of the club has a bigger ambition in the future, hence the signing of a brilliant coach to stir affairs for the club.
Tetteh, who was flown to Tamale in the company of a Director of the club, Lepowura Alhaji Mohamed Nuruudeen Dawuda Jawula and the deal was signed in the presence of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Tamale City FC, Mr Jones Alhassan-Abu.
Coach Tetteh after the deal said, “I am grateful to the directors of the club for giving me this unique opportunity to become the first head coach of the club and be part of an exciting project, that has all the trappings of being a game-changer in the country’s football landscape”.
Coach Tetteh was immediately taken to the club’s training grounds to be introduced to the backroom staff and the playing.
