Ghana WAFU Triumph -We bet your ears are itching to know how much the local team will be getting for grabbing the envied WAFU Cup 2017. Ghana beat Nigeria 4-1 to lift the prestigious WAFU Cup 2017 at the Cape Coast Stadium on Sunday, September 24, 2017.
Maxwell Konadu’s team opened the scoring in the first half with Stephen Sarfo grabbing the goal for Black Stars B. Vincent Atingah, Sarfo and Winful Cobbinah then added three in the second half with Nigeria’s consolation coming via Rabil Ali.

Ghana WAFU Triumph was indeed a great feat. But let us quit talking about skills and head to numbers.
The prize money for winning the competition is $100,000 and the Minister of Youth and Sports has also announced an additional $100,000 package from the government of Ghana for the team to make it a total of $200,000.
Below is the prize for the various stages of the 2017 WAFU. The prize money will be paid in US dollars.
