“I want to use your medium to assure residents and farmers of Kwahu and its environs of their maximum protection and appeal to them to cooperate with the security to achieve lasting peace in the districts and its environs” he said.
He said the joint security team is currently in the area to to contain the nomadic Fulani by driving them away from that area, and also ensure that they do not return.”
The MP observed that previous governments have tried solving to end the conflict but to no avail but said “I can assure the residents of kwahu that not a single footprint of a cow will be seen in Kwahu henceforth.
“We’ll make sure criminal fulani elements will be ejected from Kwahu. Three days ago, I visited Kwahu Miaso, I can tell u on authority that residents are being terrorised every now and then,” he stated.
He said Fulani herdsmen recently raped a woman her daughter for three hours, describing the incident as “very disheartening to say the least”.
