Emmanuel Andrew Samini, known in the reggae and dancehall genre as Samini, has revealed that his all-time favourite collaborations were with Ofori Amponsah and Wizkid.
The MOBO award-winner revealed this on Accra-based radio station—Joy FM, on the programme Cosmopolitan Mix with Doreen Andoh.
When asked which collaborations were memorable, he said, “the one Ofori Amponsah featured me and also the ‘Time Bomb’ song which I featured Wizkid.”
He further revealed that Ofori Amponsah initially wrote a complete song, which Kofi Nti was supposed to feature on it but later Ofori Amponsah had to feature him.
He said the ‘Odwo’ song video was shot in Germany when Ghana qualified for the 2006 World Cup for the first time.
He hinted that he will soon come out with another song with Wizkid.
Currently, Samini is on a radio tour promoting his latest reggae single, ‘My Own,’ and has assured his fans of strictly classical reggae album next year 2018.
