Beat Phreaks are back with their annual Indie Music festival Phreak Out Live, on Friday 11th August 2017!
Phreak Out Live is essentially is a common-ground for open-minded music fans to discover new artistes or genres of music. The event is providing a platform for artistes who are changing perceptions and revolutionizing the scene with their art.
Past editions have curated amazing Indie acts such as Wanlov a brilliant artiste and performer, and Azizaa an energetic female dubstep musician, Budapest based Ghanaian artiste Sena Dagadu and her fellow Irie Maffia band member, DJ/Producer Marton Elo, alongside some of the most brilliant young artistes in the local scene Worlasi, Poetra, Quayba, King Promise, and Akan.
True to their mission, Beat Phreaks are upping the stakes this year with another incredible lineup of some of the most promising acts on the scene.
The festival is in two parts:
This will be hosted at Alliance Francaise from 8pm to 10:30pm and showcases amazing live performers such as Ria Boss, a sultry Neo Soul artist with a powerful voice and an honest message, A. I, Kwesi Arthur, Villy, Big Ben, Eli, and Yung Pabi, who are setting the standard with their socially relevant music as well as producers such as Kuvie who are challenging the status quo with their work.
This will be hosted at Serallio and will feature acts like Jowaa who will be bringing a dose of the new sound of African Electronic rave music alongside some of the best Electronic DJs on the scene such as KEYZUZ, Radical The Kid, DeeJ Mitchy and DJ Eff. Prepare for a heavy dose of bass across a range of genres from Future Bass, Dubstep, Drum n Bass to House Music from 11pm till late. The rave will also give festival-goers the opportunity to meet with and interact with artists from the concert.
Phreak Out Live has definitely built a reputation as the the go-to platform for talent to look out for and has provided a critical platform to shine the spotlight on new acts, celebrate existing talent and build an exciting and eclectic atmosphere for appreciation of good alternative music.
