RB Leipzig have given the strongest indication yet that they intend to keep a hold of the players that helped them finish runners-up in the Bundesliga last season including, Liverpool target, Naby Keita.
The Reds have been linked with a move for the highly-rated midfielder for most of the summer although he has previously indicated a preference for Man City in the Premier League.
Leipzig are set for their Champions League debut next season having finished behind Bayern Munich but ahead of Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga.
And the club’s sporting director Ralf Rangnick has said that they need to keep their key players if they want to compete with the top clubs in Europe.
“We will definitely not be letting any key players go. There’s nothing that will make us budge,” Rangnick said.
“It’s totally normal for clubs to be interested in our players, but that doesn’t affect our stance on the matter.”
