The Shai Osudoku District Assembly has directed all companies that have signed contracts with the Assembly within the last six years to submit the relevant documents covering the said contracts or risk termination.
A statement issued by District Coordinating Director of the Assembly Thursday asked 23 contractors who between 2011 and 2017 signed contracts with the Assembly, to submit their contract award letters, contract documents, payment certificates and other relevant information to the Assembly by November 17, 2017.
The contracts were for various projects including construction of various units of classrooms, CHPS Compound, staff bungalows and teachers quarters.
It explained the decision to request for the documents is to help management of the Assembly to “take inform decision on the projects” which are at different stages of completion and being funded by the District Assembly Common Fund and with internally generated funds among others.
“Failure to adhere to this publication would compel the Assembly to abrogate the contract after the said date…pursuant to sub clause 56.2 of the General Condition of Contracts,” the statement said.
