An assistant headmaster of the Okomfo Anokye Senior High School at Wiamoase in the Ashanti Region has been shot dead by an unknown assailants.
The 53-year-old James Agyei, who is also a pastor of the Seventh Day Adventist Church was driving to a funeral of a GNAT member when he was shot in the area between Adubenso and Abuabuja in the Afigya Kwabre District early Sunday.
It is unclear the motive for his killing.
Except his mobile phones which were missing from his white Benze saloon car in which he was driving, all other personal effects were intact, family members told freelance journalist Bosie Amponsah.
His body has since been deposited at the Offinso St. Patrick Hospital morgue.
A daughter of the deceased told our correspondent that her father had told the family that he was attending a funeral but did not say where.
According to her, Mr Agyei also told her he would be going for a wedding after the funeral for which reason he took dresses for that event.
The Kodie Police which is investigating the matter declined comment when contacted by our correspondent.
