Nana Oseadeayo Akumfi Ameyaw IV Omanhene of the Techiman Traditional Area was on Wednesday April 26, 2017 called to the bar at a ceremony held at the Supreme Court in Accra.
The traditional ruler was among lawyers presented with certificates by the Chief Justice, Mrs Justice Georgina Wood, and the President of the Ghana Bar Association (GBA) after a successful completion of their period of study at the Ghana Law School.
The 54-year-old renowned banker and Chief Manager state owned GCB Bank Limited in May 5, 2004 succeeded the late Osabarima Dotobibi Takyia-Ameyaw as paramount chief.
Known in private life as Mr Kwaku Osei Mensah, he was then the branch manager of Ghana Commercial Bank at Twifo Praso in the Central Region.
He was the youngest son of the Queenmother and become the 40th occupant of the Bronkyempem Duaduakwa stool.
Nana Oseadeayo Akumfi Ameyaw IV was educated at Sunyani Secondary School and Adisadel College, Cape Coast, from where he proceeded to the University of Cape Coast where he obtained B. Sc. (Hons) in Agriculture and Diploma in Education in 1988.
He was a teaching assistant at the School of Agriculture at the same University from 1988 to 1990 during his national service and became a science tutor at Nkawkaw Secondary School from 1990 to 1993. He who joined Ghana Commercial Bank in April 1993.
