Born Benjamin Paapa Kofi Yankson on June 22, 1944 at Winneba, the Tena Me Nky3n composer passed on after an illness, which has kept him in a wheel-chair for the past months.
Paapa Yankson has plenty works to his canon spanning close to four decades.
Songs of his like Okukuseku, Show Your Love, Wo Yere Anaa Wo Maame and Wiase Mu Nsem became hits when they were released.
He also played an instrumental role in the setting up of music bands such as Western Diamonds, The Gold Nuggets and Carousel Seven.
His performances have been far and wide on the globe, having performed in Europe, the Americas and Africa.
He was honoured at the 2017 Ghana Music Awards with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
He paid tribute to C. K Mann for his music career.
He called for a befitting send-off for the man who at a point brought life to the entertainment industry.
