Nothern Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has taken Gender Minister, Otiko Afisa Djaba to the cleaners for shirking her responsibility at a married woman.
Daniel Bugri Naabu claimed Madam Otiko Djaba cannot be said to be a responsible woman when in fact “she has locked her sick husband in the house and refuse to give him food”.
The outspoken NPP Chairman made this allegation after the Gender Minister accused him of taking monies, goats, and sheep from people seeking appointment in the Akufo-Addo led government.
Madam Otiko Djaba has vowed not to allow Chairman Naabu to interfere in the appointment of caterers for the School Feeding Programme in the region.
In a rebuttal, Bugri Naabu on Accra-based radio XYZ vehemently denied the bribery allegations.
He described the Gender Minister as a “controversial” person who has refused to use her husband’s name or the title ‘Mrs’ in her endeavours.
Bugri Naa added that: “… A woman who is married, the husband is a doctor, she is supposed to be called Mrs Tapan but nobody knows that Otiko is married. Whatever she does, she does it without any ‘Mrs’. The husband is sick, she has locked the husband in the house. She doesn’t give him food to eat, the man’s children are angry [and want] to go and prepare food for their father. So such a woman, is she responsible? In Tamale here everybody knows,”.
