Nduom School of Business and Technology (NSB&T) will this academic year offer free scholarship to 20 students, President and Chairman of Groupe Nduom, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, has announced.
Explaining the rationale behind the awards, Dr. Nduom said it was part of the Nduom Foundation and Groupe Nduom’s commitment to assist brilliant and needy students.
“As a new institution, NSB&T is poised not only to enroll students with good grades but brilliant students as well.
“You have to make sure that your grades are good because a good university starts with good grades. We want to have good students,” said Dr. Nduom.
“Beginning next academic year the school is starting with three degree courses which include Bsc. Banking and Finance, Bsc. Information Technology and Management and BSc. Information Technology Management for Business,”, he revealed.
He said NSB&T was a practical university where students will be given tutorials in theories in addition to practical instructions.
“We have people within Groupe Nduom who from time to time visit and interact with the students and offer them practical exercises and also go to the field”, he indicated.
According to Dr. Nduom, it was to ensure that when the students leave the walls of the university they would not only have received paper qualification but also practical knowledge.
He disclosed that a professor in the United Kingdom (UK) has been engaged to develop a software that will make the accounting teaching easier for students.
“The school is going to be unique and we are expecting 200 students this academic year,” he stated.
NSB&T is a private tertiary institution and a member of Groupe Nduom, a multinational conglomerate.
The objective of the school is to provide quality, relevant and life-long learning education with a strong emphasis on industrial attachment and skills development.
