Some invigilators of the ongoing Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the Northern Region have taken a swipe at the West African Examination Council (WAEC) for not distributing the question papers on time.
According to the angry invigilators, the situation is hampering the nationwide exercise conducted in the region.
One of them in a interview said, “Yesterday [Monday], we were supposed to start the first paper at 9 o’clock, and unfortunately the papers did not come on time. We thought it was just going to be for the morning paper, but the afternoon paper started one and half hours late,” he lamented.
He charged the West African Examination Council to stick to the time.
The region recorded a total of 40,406 candidates for the 2017 BECE, and Kalisco, Tamasco, Ghanasco, Vitting and PRESEC are some of the designated examination centres within the Tamale Metropolitan Area.
