The Northern Regional Police Command is seeking the indulgence of the general public to find the killers of one Abdulai Hamid, a resident of Kukuo, a suburb of Tamale.
The body of Abdulai Hamid was picked by the Police Command around the Tamale abattoir in Shishegu at about 8:30pm August, 21 2017 after distress calls from some residents reporting the discovery of a body which was lying in a bush close by which depicts Abdulai has been lynched by some unknown persons.
According to the Regional Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Yussif Tanko, the late Abduali, a school dropout and a driver’s mate, was said to have left his domicile a week ago and suspect he went into bad company.
“The body was discovered in a circumstance which depicts he had been lynched in the course of the night,” ASP Tanko.
“According to his relations, he left home about a week ago and they suspect he went into bad company. All efforts to get him to eschew bad company have failed in spite of several attempts,” ASP Tanko added.
Though the police are unable to identify the members of the bad company Abdulai joined, they are on a manhunt to find them and deal with them.
“So far as we are concerned, he has been murdered without any justification and people are entreated to assist us with information on the perpetrators.”
Meanwhile, the corpse of Abdulai Hamid has been deposited at the Tamale Teaching Hospital morgue.
