NPP Thanksgiving Service – The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) held a thanksgiving ceremony on December 7, to celebrate it’s 2016 election victory.
President Akufo-Addo beat ex-president John Dramani Mahama and five other candidates in the December 7 election by securing 53.85 percent of valid votes cast to win the contest for the presidency.

Following his landslide victory, now President Akufo-Addo was sworn in on January 7, 2017, as Ghana’s 5th President of the 4th Republic.
The event which was held at the Accra International Conference Center today, December 7, marks exactly a year since the party
wrestled power from the John Mahama-led NDC government.
Bigwigs of the NPP including President Nana Addo, his Vice, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and other leading members of the party were present at the NPP Victory Thanksgiving.
