The Founder and President of Living Word Baptist Ministry International, Apostle Dr Daniel Nii Oblie Tackie has charged all pastors especially the newly ordained to be more friendly to sinners and demonstrate to them the true characteristics of Jesus Christ portrayed in the Bible.
According to him, being a friend of sinners does not mean joining them to commit sin but rather coming to their level and keeping their secrets whiles working in God’s ministry “which will eventually evoke confidence in them to follow you to Christ”.
Apostle Dr Daniel Nii Oblie Tackie gave the advice while ministering to a crop of newly ordained pastors who graduated from the Kingdom of God Bible Institute over the weekend.
Out of the 40 students who got enrolled into the 3-year program, only 9 of them came through successfully to be graduated and ordained as pastors who got honoured with certificates, diplomas and degrees respectively in Biblical Theology at the ceremony which was held at the Madina Social Welfare School in Accra.
Explaining what pastors must do to get attention and recognition genuinely from people, Apostle Dr Nii Oblie Tackie stressed the need for the pastors to follow the directives of God and adopt a Christ-like attitude at all times to pull men to their side and win souls for God. “When you obey God’s word and you follow his directives, mark it anywhere God will pull men to you”. His teaching was focused on a Biblical quotation from the book of Luke Chapter 7:36-50, which highlighted the story of a sinful woman in the Bible who anointed the feet of Jesus with Alabaster Jar of perfume.
He cautioned them against glorifying themselves before men when preaching the word of God which he warned will spell their doom but should make sure their life become the true reflection of what Christ stood for and “they will really know there’s God who has called you to serve them on his behalf”.
“People will begin to follow you, they will begin to believe and trust you when they look at what you’re doing and not what you’re saying”. “You can stand there and say whatever you want to say. Whatever you want to say somebody has once upon a time said it and has even said it better than you so forget whether you’re much eloquent or whether you have much words or you’re a communicator” he stressed.
President of the Kingdom of God Bible Institute (KGBI), Bishop Peter Osei-Bonsu told the ordained Pastors: “There’s a gift in you, add it to the character of Jesus and you’ll have power”.
One of the graduands, Pastor Helena Cobbina of the Hill Top Chapel who shared her views in an interview said she believes her ordination was not ordinary but through the calling of God. Highly inspired to deliver as an ordained Pastor, Helena commended Bishop Peter Osei-Bonsu for the quality teaching and advice, promising to put the knowledge gained to good work in order to win more souls into the Kingdom of God.
With the desire to serve his maker with all his might, Pastor Joseph Kwashie of Living Word Baptist Ministry International says he will leave no stone unturned to see his dream of establishing a non-governmental organization to be named as Christ Gathering 360 becomes a reality through which he’ll be organizing series of programs to reach out to the masses with the message of God.
The Kingdom of God Bible Institute(KGBI) originally started in Amsterdam-Holland in the year 1992 with about 15 member strength congregation in a garden called Gasperplas.
It is the first time the institute is graduating students since its inception in Ghana in June, 2015 through the initiative of Bishop Osei Bonsi during his first mission in the country.
