Popular Kumawood actress, Nana Ama McBrown has surprised her teeming fans as well as everyone who knows her with a disclosure that she has not been able to earn any educational certificate in her life!
Nana Ama who was addressing students at the 2017 ‘Tek Talk’ held at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), revealed that she dropped out of School in class two of Junior High School.

According to the beautiful and much admired actress, financial challenges that rocked her large family at the time deprived her of the opportunity to continue her education and sit for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
“I dropped out of JSS because my parents were unable to finance my education. I don’t have a certificate even though I wish I had,” she disclosed to the shock of students.
She was however, quick to point out that despite her predicament, she speaks and writes good English. The ‘Beautiful Soul’ actress said she was left with no option than to scout for other career and interests when education proved impossible. One of the areas she tried her hands in was football before she finally settled for acting.
Continuing, Nana Ama explained that she never allowed her challenge of lack of education to deter her from pursuing her dreams, adding that she will someday continue schooling.
“I don’t have a degree or the educational certificates but I will do them someday. I want to use this opportunity to urge you not to allow challenges like this to weigh you down.”
She finally encouraged the students to be themselves in all that they do and desist from striving to be like her as they will end up in her shadow if they do so.
Meanwhile, recent reports have also revealed that Nana Ama McBrown has disclosed intentions to contest for the post of a Member of Parliament for her constituency, Kwadaso. Although the exact time she will do this was not stated, the actress who has a strong fan base was said to have expressed strong confidence in winning the post whenever she contests. This she reportedly said during the just ended Starr Worship.
Moreover, Nana Ama in what is yet to be confirmed to be a joke or a serious talk, has disclosed that she would love to be a nurse in the future. Posting a photo on Instagram in which she dressed in the full regalia of a nurse, the outspoken actress wrote:
“I Want to Be a Nurse Someday. Don’t Be Surprise If You Meet Me in the Hospital Near You. I May Be the One to Give You INJECTION.”
Many have however, suggested her outfit must be a photo shoot from a movie set; possibly.
