Former president John Mahama has taken a swipe at the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) arguing that the 5-month-old administration under Nana Akufo-Addo has lack of experience.
John Mahama, who is under various pressure to run as president in the 2020 elections came out of the woods of election defeat to diagnose the what he claims to be the true shortfall of the NPP administration.
In a fiery speech to mark the 25th anniversary of the NPP, Mahama believes that the current administration is showing its lack of political experience considering the cases of political vigilantism and also the release of members of the Delta Force group.
The comments of John Mahama comes in the wake of the founder of the NDC, Jerry Rawlings, coming against members of the party for seeing the party lose the 2016 elections.
Jerry Rawlings at the June 4th anniversary made the argument that the high rank and file of the party will have to consider fresh and new leadership to ensure that the party regains power in the 2020 elections.
Just before that, the Kwesi Botchway committee, which was constituted to investigate the actual cause of the NDC’s defeat revealed in its final pages that cases of corruption, abuse of incumbency and also the use of dirty, rude language cause the defeat of the party.
