Though many incapacitated persons throng the streets to beg for alms from passers-by, David an enthusiastic physically challenged man departed from what has become the norm, braced himself up and has found a job after advertising himself.
GHOneTv News Editor, Nana Aba Anamoah who was touched by David’s zeal to get a job than to use his condition to solicit for money by the roadside, has named him as one of the coordinators of her ‘Raising Readers Ghana’, Foundation which is a new non-governmental organization.
The Media Personality posted on her Social Media handles, a picture she took with David and sharing how she was touched on meeting the young man.
Nana Aba Anamoah added that, she is pleased to introduce David as one of the coordinators for Raising Readers Ghana.
David’s photos surfaced on social media when he was seen with a placard which many passers-by thought he was begging for alms but his message was to get a job and live a better life.
Raising Readers Ghana in partnership with Tigo Shelter for Education seek to cultivate and promote reading among Ghanaian children aged between 6 and 13 years.
The first phase of the initiative will run until the end of 2017, and more celebrities and prominent persons are expected read with the children in communities.
Nana Aba Anamoah is also the co-founder of SN Media Learning Tree, an institute dedicated to delivering effective and efficient methods in sharpening the skills of media personnel through both proven and innovative methods.
