KABA’s Memorial Service – Ghana has been greatly sobered by news of the demise of renowned Asempa FM presenter Kwadwo Asare Baffuor Acheampong, popularly known as KABA who died on November 18, at the Korle Bu Teaching after a short illness.

A memorial service was held on Monday, November 20, for the former Host of late afternoon political show, Ekosii Sen on Asempa FM.
The service which was organized by the Multimedia Group, his employers, was attended by hundreds of Ghanaians including politicians, government officials, and media practitioners.
It was a mournful and sorrowful atmosphere at the forecourt of Joy FM where tons of tributes from his employers, close friends, industry players and politicians kept pouring in.

Deputy Minister for Transport and the Member of Parliament of Tema West constituency, Nii Kwartei Titus Glover, who couldn’t hold back his tears practically wept bitterly at the memorial service.
Several futile attempts were made by other mourners to console the minister who is believed to be a close pal of the deceased.
Sports TV personality Countryman Songo was also uncontrollable when his devastation caused him to attempt suicide at the memorial service of the late broadcaster.
The TV personality rushed to stand in the middle of the road calling moving vehicles to run over him. Unable to bear the pain of losing a loved one, the ‘fire for fire’ presenter wanted to end his life.
However, he was quickly moved away to make way for the passing vehicles by Adom FM’s news editor, Afia Pokuaa and co-host of Badwam, Nana Yaa Brefo and Akuma Mama Zimbi.
Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Otiko Afisa Djaba in her tribute said that Ghana has lost a national treasure, adding that KABA’s light must continue to shine.
Also paying his tribute was the President of the Ghana Journalists Association, (GJA), Mr. Roland Affail Monney, who described KABA as a son and a symbol of professionalism.
Condolence messages have been pouring on different media platforms to the family of the deceased who sadly lost his life to the Widow of the deceased who rejected news of his death at first.
Kaba had been at work all week with no sign of sickness until he complained Friday evening he was not feeling too well and had to go home early. He was rushed to hospital after his blood sugar level rose Saturday morning and was pronounced dead on arrival.
