In a desperate action to retrieve a missing 200 cedis from her twin daughters, a 45-year-old woman and her son have inflicted deep multiple blade wounds on them.
The wicked incident, which happened at kumbiehi, a suburb of Wa in the Upper West Region left the 16-year-old twins in agony from the scattered wounds on their backs.
Aggrieved by the behaviour of their mother and brother, the victims walked into a police station and reported the case.
The woman, Biana Dabuo who is a pito seller and her 25-year-old John Dabuo, a tricycle operator, were subsequently arrested at about 4:00pm Thursday by the Upper West Regional Police Command.
The Police say the suspects are in custody assisting in investigations into the matter.
Meanwhile, the victims who were taken to the Wa Regional Hospital have had their wounds cleaned and stitched after which they were discharged.

He said the complaint was that Madam Dabuo who is their mother, had instructed their elder brother John Dabuo to retrieve the missing 200 cedis from them. John was said to have taken her sisters to the Wa Sport Station area where he was believed to have inflicted blade wounds on them in a move to retrieve the money.The Police say they will process the two for court once investigations into the matter were concluded
