The music video for ‘My Girl,’ a KillBeatz-song by B4Bonah featuring King Promise was premiered at an ‘Artiste Showcase’ held last week at the Level 8 Lounge, One Airport Square in Accra.
It was directed by David Nicol-Sey of North Production, and will officially be released next week.
The event was to formally introduce the ‘Dear God’ act as a signee of MimLife Records. The label disclosed it had signed a five-year deal with the artiste.
The team behind the label and artiste, both based at Tema were introduced to the media.
The Artiste Showcase was powered by MimLife Records with support from John Jameson & Son Limited and Level 8 Lounge. Media partners for the event were Live FM, GhOneTV and StarBuzz.
B4Bonah was born Fredrick Amoako Bonah. His interest in music started in basic school at Creator Junior High School, analysing lyrics of songs he danced to as a career.
He started writing based off his love for quality lyrical content of songs. He is inspired by the likes of Bob Marley, WizKid and Wretch 32.
His song writing ability is sometimes inspired listening to beats in the studio, and by his life experiences – losing his parents and brother in a space of two years – the situation lead to hard times until his professional music career.
A versatile artiste, he fits in all genres of music. When he is not doing anything related to music, he checks up on fashion trends.
His favourite sayings are “giving up ain’t sexy” and “You can’t bury the sun.”
His dream goal is to perform with Nigerian Afrobeats artiste WizKid. Bonah still holds on to his childhood dream of being a lawyer.
