The final squad of the Black Starlets have arrived in New Delhi for the India 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017 Championship. The team who have been training ahead of the global football tournament in Abu Dhabi, landed in India’s capital city at 3:00 pm on Monday, October 2.
The Ghana U-17 squad were first announced by the team’s Coach, Paa Kwesi Fabin on 20th September. FIFA has now announced details of the Black Starlets final squad who will be representing the country in the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup in India.

Below is a complete list of the 21-man squad with their ages, playing positions, jersey numbers and clubs, as confirmed by FIFA:
The FIFA U-17 World Cup formally known as the FIFA U-16 World Championship, is the world championship of association football for male players under the age of 17 organized by Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) every two years.
The 2017 tournament saw Ghana’s Black Starlets placed in Group A along with hosts India, Colombia and United States of America. They will play their first group match against Colombia in the tournament opener on October 6 followed by matches against USA (October 9) and India (October 12), at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
The Black Starlets qualified for the FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017, after easing their way into the CAF U-17 African Cup of Nations semi-finals. This was after they trashed Gabon 5-0 in their second group game at the 2017 Africa U-17 Championship on Wednesday, 17th May 2017.
The team therefore succeeded in making it to the Junior World Cup after 10 years of missing out, having played their last FIFA U-17 in 2007 and winning the trophy last in 1995.
