The Staples Centre, one of the major sporting arenas in Los Angeles, USA, will be hosting a Floyd Mayweather v Conor McGregor press conference on July 11, 2017.
The arena, home to the Los Angeles Kings, Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Sparks, confirmed the event via their Twitter account: “Just Announced. @FloydMayweather vs @TheNotoriousMMA press conference on Tue, Jul 11. Tix avail tomorrow at 12pm. [sic].”
The much-anticipated super fight itself will take place on August 26 at the T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, and the worldwide publicity tour is set to start in the coming weeks.
Reports earlier this month suggested the first meeting would be held at Wembley later in July, but with the Staples Center announcing their conference this coming Tuesday, it appears to be no longer the case, although it does not rule out the publicity tour making a stop in London.
