As part of her passion to encourage children to adopt good reading habits, she donated reading books and some educational materials for special needs to support the children.
She advised the children to work hard and give maximum respect to their caregivers.
Mrs. Amissah-Arthur took the opportunity to thank the management of the school for their commitment in caregiving to such great children in society.
She used the occasion to wish the children and the staff well and promised to be visiting them from time to time.
Multikids Inclusive Academy was established in February 2010. It grew out of a small special school called COLEDIC founded by Sigrid Kootstra.
Mandy and Sigrid worked together to co-found Ghana’s first and only inclusive school, Multikids Inclusive Academy, educating children in a co-existing learning environment.
Multikids combines specialist, creative, academic and vocational teaching and learning based on the UK National Curriculum, for students from 6 months to 21 years.
The environment of inclusion is only possible through the intervention of excellent therapeutic services. The school believes passionately that all children have the right to an excellent inclusive curriculum.
Their multidisciplinary team of education professionals includes specialist teachers, speech and language therapists, physiotherapists and occupational therapists.
