Mohammed Mumuni, together with two others on the run, broke into a house at Ampayoo in Kumasi to steal the items.
He is facing charges of unlawful damage, unlawful entry, causing unlawful harm and stealing.
He pleaded not guilty and was ordered to make his next appearance on Thursday, May 11.
The names of his fugitive accomplices were given as Yaw and Emmanuel.
Police Chief Inspector Timothy Amoako told the court, presided over by Mrs. Mary Nsenkyire, that the incident happened on Tuesday, April 08, at about 1130 hours.
The complainant, Halid Lamine, a fashion designer, had left for the workplace when he received a call that thieves had raided his house.
He rushed back only to find out that the thieves had made off with his wife’s jewelry and two cellular phones valued at GH¢3,700.00.
The prosecution said with the assistance of neighbors, Mumuni was arrested and handed over to the police.
He confessed to the crime and mentioned Yaw and Emmanuel as his accomplices.
