Central Region District Magistrate Court has remanded all accused persons who are being held for the murder of Major Adam Mahama.
They are to be kept at the Nsawam Medium Security Prison.
This was after the Prosecutor, DPS George Amegah, had prayed the court for them to be sent to prisons custody instead of police cells.
He said the current situation where the suspects were kept at different locations was creating problems for the police.
He also told the court that the duplicate docket on the case was being sent to the AGs department.
Lawyer for the accused, Charles Owusu Juanah, said he had no objection to the move, but urged the prosecution to speed up their investigations.
The case has been adjourned to August 3, 2017.
It would be recalled that late Major Adam Mahama was brutally murdered last month by some irate youth of Denkyira-Obuasi in the Central Region when he was mistaken for an armed robber.
