The CEO of Pizarea Mr. Henry Ameleke in a fon interview with Mixtic advised music lovers to respect the creativity of Artistes. This came as a result of the big copyright issues raised against Kuami Eugene for sampling a song he titled Confusion from a Malian artiste who had a Grammy nomination in the just ended Grammies.
On phone he said “Mixtic I was in Abidjan and trust me the francophones where playing sidebe – confiance song everywhere I passed and what I said was wow this is how to support creativity” well little did he know, he would be hearing a Ghanaian copying the song. He said “The song felt great and it didn’t surprise me a Ghanaian Artiste copied it but I wish he has acknowledged the owner otherwise it would be an issue of copyright”
When asked if he knew Kuami Eugene he said “Yes I do, mixtic but you know how passionate I am about music and supporting unheard artistes so I do know him very well and I play his song, Angela, very often, even I love the confusion song because its creative and nice and I won’t bash Kuami Eugene if I was out there but rather encourage him to show loyalty to the original owners”.
He hinted Pizarea is still doing their best to help talents and encourage people to order food through Pizarea.com or download the App from play store to surprise a loved one.
