Reverend Dr. Paul Henry Dsane, the Assistant General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Church, Ghana, has asked ministers of the gospel to use their gifts to build and edify the Church to promote the great commission.
He charged the ministers to allow integrity, morality and holiness to permeate their lives and pray for divine utterances to declare the word of God and win more souls for Christ.
Rev. Dsane was speaking at a special church service of the Grace Pentecostal Assembly at Effiakuma in the Sekondi/Takoradi Metropolis for the passing-out of 14 men and women who had undergone two years of rigorous scriptural and doctrinal training.
He advised the men and women of God, known as ‘Gospel Crusaders,’ to be the catalyst to inspire other ministries rather than be in unhealthy competition with them.
Rev. Alex Monney, the Founder of Porter’s Hand Ministries in Takoradi, asked ministers to pray regularly “to cement their relationship, fellowship and connection with God”.
He said: “It is fitting and proper for men of God to pray as a team, pray for one another and eschew selfishness so as to be ushered into His grace and the realms of the spirit”.
Rev. Monney told the congregation that the mystery of the gospel was embedded in the pillars of greatness, opportunity, success, possibility and impartation of God’s life bestowed on man through Jesus Christ.
Pastor Mac-Iver George Assam, a spokesperson of the ‘Gospel Crusaders,’ said they were taken through about 30 other courses apart from the Biblical course.
He said: “The course has transformed our lives tremendously, sharpened our understanding and exposed our divine purpose on this earth.”
Pastor Assam admonished Christians to desist from corrupt practices and stand out in their communities by their actions.
He said Christians must show good attitudes by keeping the environment clean and participate in national sanitation programmes to ward off diseases.
He urged the youth to avail themselves to the word of God to transform their lives and commended government for its efforts to stop galamsey in the country.
